The Fleur Earrings

I was scrolling through Pinterest and found a picture of a bunch of wildflowers and that magical thing happened - I had an image of an earring pop into my head. Five bright stones, dangling so that every time you moved your head, they would sway in the wind just like those flowers.

Once I had that image in my head, I was on the hunt for stones that would bring my vision to life. I hope you feel the beautiful wilderness of the Fleur earrings whenever you wear them, they are the face of the collection!

This earring’s origin story is not such a straight line as the Fleur earrings. If you’ve been around here for a while, then you know I’m a major fan of a makeup brand called Violette Fr. The branding has a major French girl aesthetic in a cool, attainable way. There is a green and gold shimmer eyeshadow that I was drawn to immediately when it was released. I feel so confident and fun when wearing it and it made me think of a good friend - Anna. She’s bold, loves and respects nature, and is daring. So I crafted the branch jacket backing and a peridot stud to bring in the colors and style of earrings that made me feel bold. These are the earrings that once I put them on, I felt like Anna would approach me at a party and think they are cool too! When you wear these Anna earrings, I hope you feel adventurous and bold, just like I did when making them.

Truth be told, I struggle in the winter months with it being gray all the time. I find that I’m consistently searching for sunshine or the next boost of energy I can get since there is such a short supply for me. These earrings were part of my search for sunshine and energy over Christmas. I even gifted these to friends for the holidays because they were so fun for me to wear! The bright gold fringe was such a fun moment for me during those endless gray days. When you wear these earrings, I want you to feel like the brightest spot in the room.

The great thing about ear cuffs is that they are a great piece to have in your jewelry collection - no matter how beginner or expert you are with your jewelry. They are a great way to start out by experimenting with fun colors or sparkles - or even just adding some bling if you don’t have your ears pieced! If you are more comfortable or adventurous with your jewelry stacks, adding an ear cuff can take you to the next level! I personally love stacking my cuffs for a unique look. I’m trying to incorporate more color into my everyday outfits and this was an easy way to do that!

I’ve really been into the paperclip chain recently, I’ve been wearing the Caleb Bracelet pretty much every day since it got warm out. Something about this chain is unique and adds a little zhuzh to my wrist stack. I wanted something similar but simple for the earrings. I went through a couple of versions of this earring but finally landed on loving the simplicity that this earring offers. I gravitate towards this earring when I need to head into the office when I can’t be too wild with my look but I still want my personality to shine through. I hope you feel sophisticated and classy when you wear these earrings!

So I actually made this necklace because I wanted something to go with my New Year’s Eve outfit. I didn’t want a tight gold chain and all my other necklaces just weren’t fitting the vibe of my outfit (lace bodysuit, long sequin black blazer, and black mini skirt). So this necklace was born! I made it 34 inches so I can wear it one of two ways: long or doubled (which is a packing tip if you don’t have a lot of room for accessories - pack this necklace and you get multi cute ways to wear it! Maybe even wrap it a third time for a multi-layered choker style). Thank you to you all for helping me name this piece in the collection!
